MatriKX 1, 2.50" X 9.75 Extruded Carbon Block Filter.
“The Chlorine Guzzler”

Basic Description: High capacity carbon block filter. Radial Flow. Rated for >90% chlorine reduction of 20,000 gallons of water at 1.0 gpm. flow rate. Chloroform reduction of >95% for 750 gallons at 0.5 gpm.

Not rated for lead or cyst reduction. This is a very strong chemical removal filter. High VOC reduction capacity, high chlorine and chloroform performance, excellent particulate reduction (>99.9% @ 2 microns). Great taste/odor enhancer.

Pressure Drop: 3.5 psid @ 1 gpm.

Carbon Type & Weight: Bituminous Coal. 0.75 lbs.

General Usage Recommendation: Great independent cartridge for countertop filters where lead reduction is not an issue. Excellent in undersink filters, both single and multiple, and as pre- or post- filter in reverse osmosis units.

Suggested Change Interval with Normal Usage: Change once a year in most applications. May be run longer when accompanied by other long-range cartridges in double or triple filters.
