Compact Gold Series Reverse Osmosis Unit

Our Gold Series RO unit is a compact system that performs like our full-sized undersink models.

It uses the same membrane and control system as our standard Black & White units, but has a compact footprint to accommodate small, tight undersink areas.

It can be wall mounted or stand on its base, as in the picture.

This easy-to-service system is built entirely with John Guest quick-connect fittings and uses inline filters. Periodic filter change (we recommend change at 9 months for most users) involves easy, no-mess replacement of the two bottom filter elements. No tools needed.

Simple installation consists of connecting four push-in fittings to inlet tube, storage tank, drain, and faucet.

The Basics:

Standard Filters:

The Prefilter is a Hydro-Flow Gold Series 10 Extra, a highest quality 10-inch inline cartridge using granular activated carbon and a half pound of KDF redox media. KDF greatly increases chlorine removal and prolongs the life of RO membranes by inhibiting bacterial growth.

The Reverse Osmosis Membrane is a full-sized Filmtec (Dow Chemical Brand) 24-gallon-per-day thinfilm (TFC). It refills the storage tank at the rate of about one gallon per hour and is a top-notch producer. (Go here for typical thinfilm membrane performance.)

The Post Filter is an NSF-certified Hydro-Flow Gold Series 10 high performance granular carbon inline. This is a cartridge so good that its recommended service cycle as an inline refrigerator filter is 3,900 gallons.

Additional Features:

Storage Tank: Metal, “4 gallon” is standard. Three gallon can be substituted at no charge if undersink space is scarce. If ordering via the Shopping Cart, just type “Three Gallon Tank” into the Comments section and we’ll make the substitution without charge.

Ledge Faucet: Li Kuan long reach is standard. The best faucet available.

Inlet Valve: Is the same top quality saddle valve offered on our larger units. ( In the Shopping Cart, select the saddle valve option if your undersink cold water faucet pipe is copper. If the cold water faucet gets its water from a flexible tube or pipe, select EZ Adapter.)

Fittings and Control System: John Guest quick-connect fittings and super-strength tubing. Payne automatic shutoff valve. External check valves (two) and external capillary flow control. The easily replaceable cartridges are attached with John Guest plug-in elbows for long, trouble-free service.

Note on replacement cartridge cost!

Cartridges can be purchased either with or without John Guest fittings. You can save $2 per cartridge by purchasing the cartridges without fittings, removing the fittings from your old cartridges, and reinstalling them in the new ones. It’s an easy job and the only tools you’ll need are a crescent wrench or pliers and a roll of teflon tape.
