Quick Connect Refrigerator Kit

For use with our K Series Refrigerator Filters.

After turning off the water to your refrigerator, cut the copper ¼” supply line at a place convenient to insert the filter.
Push one end of the ¼” valve onto the inlet side of the copper tube you have just cut. Push the ¼” connector onto the refrigerator side of the tube. (Follow directions on the enclosed John Guest instructions.)
Locate the filter in a convenient place. It can go on top of the refrigerator, lie on the floor, or be wall mounted with the enclosed mounting clips.
Connect the inlet side of the filter to the John Guest ¼” valve, and insert a piece of loose ¼’ tubing into the outlet side of the filter.
Using a pan or bucket to catch the water, turn on the inlet water to the filter and allow the filter to rinse a gallon or so of water into the container. This prevents the “fines” (the black stuff) from entering your refrigerator.
After the filter is rinsed, turn off the water, trim the ¼’ tube to the desired length, and connect to the refrigerator.
