| This instruction applies to single, double, or
triple undersink filters, either bracket-mounted or flat-bottomed
free-standing. Install on cold water riser so that all cold water going to the sink
faucet passes through the filter. DO NOT INSTALL ON HOT WATER LINE.
Bracket mounted units can stand or be hung on the wall of the undersink
using two standard wood screws.
Flat-bottomed units are designed to stand on the floor in any
convenient location.
Simple undersink filters come with no installation hardware.
They are intended to filter all the cold water that comes
through the regular sink faucet..
Standard ports are 3/8" pipe thread, which is usually
compatible with undersink plumbing.
Flat-bottomed units are usually 1/4".
Since there are a variety of possible undersink formats,
it is easiest for the installer to obtain hardware store parts to adapt to
the specific situation.
Often, it is easiest to simply replace the cold water
supply line with two flexible supply lines that allow the cold water to be
routed through the filter and returned to the faucet.
We can supply quick connect fittings to convert standard
3/8" copper pipe to 3/8" plastic tubing, as well as 3/8" quick connect
fittings that allow the plastic to be easily installed in the filter.
