Designed to be the simplest and most efficient RO systems available.

Easiest to install, easiest to maintain. A top performing unit that is designed to be completely owner-friendly. It comes with everything you’ll need to maintain it. You’ll be surprised how easy reverse osmosis can be.

“Simplify, simplify!” — Henry David Thoreau

Above: Pure Water Products 4-stage Q Series unit, Q364, with 36 gallon-per-day GE/Osmonics thinfilm (TFC) membrane.
The encapsulated General Electric membrane (horizontal canister) can be changed by removing the tubes from three quick-connect fittings. The filters (the three vertical canisters) are as easy to replace as light bulbs.

Cartridge change is so easy it’s almost no fun. Just screw off the old cartridges and screw on the new ones. No tools or lubricants needed. Not a drop of water spilled.

We feel that there are at least 97 good reasons why you should get one of our Q36 Series RO units. Most of them have to do with simplicity.

We designed this unit to be the most dependable and trouble-free RO (reverse osmosis) unit possible, as well as the easiest to install, the easiest to service, and the easiest to fix if it ever needs repair.

It’s a unique product, but it's built of readily available, standard-sized parts that are produced by the most trusted names in the industry. The filter cartridges are from the Omnipure Q Series line of tough, effective commercial-grade filters. The Omnipure disposable filter units have long been favorites in restaurants, the vending industry, and laboratories because of their unchallenged effectiveness, durability, leak-free service, and ease of installation and replacement.

We’ve combined the ultra-simple Q Series cartridges with a ‘General Electric/Osmonics’ 36-gallon-per-day encapsulated membrane, which makes the messy and sometimes tedious job of changing the RO membrane almost as easy as changing the Q Series cartridges. “Encapsulated” means that the membrane is built into its housing. There’s no cap to remove, and no tools are needed. The whole vessel is replaced. Membrane changes are done simply by removing tubes from three quick-connect fittings, popping the membrane housing out of its clips, slipping the new membrane housing into the clips, and reinserting the three tubes. No tools needed. No spills. No flow restrictor or check valve to change, since these parts are built into the GE membrane.

Q Series units all come with everything you need for installation. The standard faucet is the Li Kuan long reach. The inlet system is either our best saddle valve for installation on copper pipe, or our EZ Adapter for installation with flexible cold water pipes. A high quality drain saddle with quick connect fitting, our favorite metal storage tank, and extra tubing are included.

Note about ordering: You’ll need to tell us if your cold water faucet under your sink gets its water from a copper pipe or a flexible tube when you order.

If you have clean (dirt-, sand-, rust-, silt-free) water, the three stage unit Q363 is your best choice. However, if there is visible sediment in your water, it’s best to protect the carbon pre- filter with a sediment filter,  and the Q 364 unit should be ordered. If you have questions about which unit you need, don’t hesitate to call us at the number above.

On new Q Series units, the standard carbon pre-filter is a top quality 10-micron carbon block.  The carbon post-filter is a granular coconut shell carbon.  If desired, this setup can be altered to fit your specific needs when you replace the cartridges.  See "Cartridge Logic" for details.

Part # Description Price
FC902 This is the standard postfilter cartridge for both units above. It can be used as both pre and post filter replacement. (See "Cartridge Logic" for explanation.) This is a 12" GAC loose-fill Omnipure Q Series encapsulated coconut shell carbon filter. It is an excellent all-around taste/odor cartridge that removes chlorine and chemicals and works great with reverse osmosis units because it has minimal flow restriction. Coconut shell carbon is known as a superior chloramine and VOC reducer as well as a producer of especially good tasting water. $29
FC901 A 12" Omnipure Q Series 10 Micron Carbon Block filter.  Excellent chemical reduction and a 3,000 gallon chlorine reduction capacity.  Pre-washed, needs no special rinsing as a reverse osmosis prefilter.  This is the carbon prefilter for both units sold above. $36
FC904 Standard 5-micron sediment cartridge. This is the pre-filter for the four stage unit, Q-364. It does not remove chemicals or chlorine. It protects the unit from sand, silt, and particulate in general. Replace once a year or more often if clogging occurs. This is the prefilter for RO364 4-stage units. $28
MM600 GE/Osmonics 36 Gallon Per Day encapsulated membrane. This membrane is unique in that it contains both check valve and flow restrictor built into its housing. It connects with Quick Connect fittings. This is the standard membrane for both of our Q Series units listed above. $68
RC400 TDS. Electronic TDS Tester, measures 0 to 1000 parts per million total dissolved solids. A very handy tool for reverse osmosis owners. It tells you when your membrane needs replacement. Not essential, but a great tool to own. $33
